Our Story

In 2012 our founder Andrew Arkley decided it was time to share his 15 years’ experience in the HR and recruitment industry – and PurpleCV was born.

Word quickly spread, and it wasn’t long before international customers started coming to us for help. We wrote our first CVs for customers in the UAE and across the Middle East in 2013. Since then, we’ve helped people land jobs in major banks, governments, energy firms, IT companies and more across the Middle East.

In 2020 we began branching out across the region in earnest, having identified it as a key area for expansion.

Today, our team is composed of qualified career coaches and counsellors, recruitment professionals and employment experts, all working to provide you with the help you need.

Andrew Arkley is the founder and senior writer of PurpleCV. With over 15 years’ experience in HR and recruitment at a senior level, Andrew knows precisely what it takes to land a job. He has personally reviewed countless resumes (over 10,000 and counting) and continues to use his expertise to help the team craft perfect resumes for our customers.

He is an active member of Career Directors International, The Institute of Leadership and Management and Institute of Directors. He is also a Programme Director for PARWCC and a Certified Interview Coach (CIC), Certified Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW) and Certified Digital Career Strategist (CDCS).

Andrew has published articles on resume writing for magazines such as Marie Claire and The Independent, and as an expert in the field is continually sharing his knowledge through online publications. Despite its huge growth, since PurpleCV’s inception Andrew has remained committed to the company’s ethos of providing affordable resumes for everyone, no matter their experience or industry.
